After attending a recent webinar by Beyond Mars and Venus author John Gray, I recall how his books have shaped my relationships, both personal and professional, in that they allowed me to see the world from a male perspective.  I find his thoughts immensely enlightening, particularly because I have met men who have read his books, learning how to see the world from a female perspective, who truly "get me" in so many ways.

Understanding in the first place, that there are significant differences among ALL individuals, gender being just one component, while also including values, culture, and spiritual awareness.  Successfully navigating relationships requires interest, flexibility and focus, in order to truly see others' points of view, and to facilitate your self-expression with others.

Many individuals are feeling resistant to today's rapid changes, and its attendant stress due to imposed changes in habits, health and routines.  Any of us, at any time, can easily become fearful and end up closing off ourselves to experiences that would enrich our lives.

In coping with this ever-increasing sea of stress, it can be helpful to first identify it through meditation, exercise or relaxation:  Is there anything I can do about this immediate threat?  If not, put it on your agenda for later.

The more you can stay in the moment, dealing with only immediate needs and requirements, the more successfully we can focus, enjoying the people and the process as an adventure.  By fully engaging and completing the task at hand, then moving on to the next item on our agenda, we become more focused and attuned to the environment.

Today, the very foundations and traditional pillars of civilization, education, business, investing, retiring, etc., have altered immeasurably.  Our only defense against AI and other seismic opponents to our peace of mind, is to live authentically, and in the moment, with our authentic selves, friends and connections.
