Meta-Learning...in other words, learning about learning, allows us a wider perspective on the world.  I truly enjoy sharing the knowledge of sages with others, thereby increasing my appreciation for the process of learning...

For those of you who have read some of my previous blog posts, I enjoy the wisdom of Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Mark Hyman, Charles Duhigg, and Robert Greene, just to name a few, who have expanded my awareness, as well as my appreciation for seeing things from other people's perspectives.

Since my recent health scare and hospitalization, I have decided to adopt better daily habits for health care, and as Jim Quik points out in his current book, Limitless, all you need to develop a "habit loop" is motivation (desire), ability (skills) and a trigger (cue).  By developing Small Simple Steps, Quik helps us to break down the iceberg of reasons for resistance, to adopt a new way of approaching change, facing our fears, while using reward as our main motivator.

Just as in the movie, Limitless, we would all like to take a pill that would instantly give us the superpowers to overcome all the personal and professional challenges that we encounter each day.

However, through altered states of consciousness, such as meditation, music, massage. etc., we can remove ourselves from the everyday noise and mindlessness of excessively busy lives, to realize that there is a better, calmer, more peaceful way to realize our dreams for a better tomorrow.

As many great thinkers have observed, we are poisoning our minds with digital deluge.  Removing the phone from your consciousness and easy grasp, is just one of the many simple small steps we can take to prevent "digital dementia" (as Quik describes in his book, Limitless) from setting in and pervading the very foundation of your self-worth and self-identity.
