What am I doing right?  What isn't working for me?

Determining your own "spectrum of behavior" is an excellent way to make those incremental changes.

As you analyze the steps needed to adopt new behaviors or reinforce what's working, Dr. Deepak Chopra in Total Meditation, recommends:

1. Centering yourself. Taking care of yourself first is important to experience positive peak experiences.

2. Feeling your blood circulate in your body.  At every moment you can be centered in yourself, awaiting the next surprising discovery, and

3. Navigating your inner core emotions.  When you discover something really meaningful, it feels totally personal.  You are seeing yourself reflected in the world "out there".

Meditations for Tranquility by Suzanne Marbrook, provides a practical guide to spiritual first aid with methods for tapping into cosmic energies and synchronicity.

This Marbrook resource is excellent inspiration with practical methods for reducing stress, bringing inner peace, and promoting healing.

Dr. Nicole LePera in How to do the Work, recommends witnessing yourself, visualizing your Future Self through journaling, and restoring balance by grounding in the present moment.

As part of your witnessing, visualize your best self, be conscious about your consumption of information, and find nature and experience its majesty to maintain a balanced perspective.

In Drop Dead Healthy, A.J. Jacobs takes a humorous look at making a major transformation in your physical, mental and emotional well-being.

An example examines The Hygiene Hypothesis, the idea being that children in modern first-world countries aren't exposed to enough germs, an over-sanitation situation which results in what we are seeing as a dramatic increase in allergies, asthma and infections.

The solution? Amazingly simple, according to clinical analyses, just use basic cleaning techniques and avoid using anti-bacterial solutions, excessively.

These are just a few of the books that I have checked out recently from our local library.

Here in Jacksonville, Illinois, we have access to the largest state library system in the country--providing borrowing privileges for millions of books and media resources, as well as local information on your community.
